About the Race

  1. When is the North East Run 2010?
    North East Run 2010 will be held on Sunday, 14th March 2010 from 6.30am to 12.00pm.
  1. Where will the run be held?
    The start and finish point of the race will be at Pasir Ris Park Car Park C.
  1. How many categories are there?

  1. What time does the race starts?
    The race will start at 6.45am, 7.45am and 8.15am for different categories.
  1. Is there a cut-off time for the run?
    Yes. All runners need to complete the run by 10.00am
  1. Will I get a certificate upon completion of the run?
    Yes.
  1. Will there be an official photographer?
    Yes.
  1. Can I skate or cycle during the race?
    No.
  1. Can I bring along my pets?
     Pets are strictly not allowed on the course during the race.
  1. What is an Entry Pack?
    It is an event pack that consists of the following items:
  • An exclusive North East dry fit running tee
  • An exclusive North East Run bib number
  • RFID itag for competitive runner

    All participants must collect their Entry Pack at the Race Expo prior to the actual day.

  1. Where and when can I collect the entry pack?
    The collection will be held on Saturday 6 Mar 2010 and Sunday 7 Mar 2010 between 1100hrs to 2000 hrs at White Sands, 1 Pasir Ris Central Street 3 Singapore 518457.

    Collection of Entry Pack
    • If you have registered online, you will need to produce your printed confirmation slip/official receipt and your NRIC/Passport to collect your Entry Pack at the Race Expo.
    • If you have registered under the walk-in registration, you will need to produce the official receipt when you collect your Entry Pack at the Race Expo.
    • For participants below 18 years of age, you will need to bring the Indemnity Form signed by your parent or guardian if you have not faxed or email to the organizer earlier.
    • For representatives collecting the Entry Pack on behalf of their family members or friends, please complete and bring along the letter of authorisation.

  2. Where can I leave my belongings?
    There is a baggage deposit area near the starting point. Each participant is entitled to deposit one baggage for free.
    * The baggage counter will only receive items that are secured with official issued tags which will be given during the Race Day

    Whilst maximum care and security are being enforced, the organiser will not be held responsible for any loss or damaged items or delay in retrieving the bags. Please expect delays due to the huge crowd expected.

  3. Will there be course markers along the routes?
    Yes, course markers will be available.

  4. What if I am injured during the run or otherwise unable to finish the run?
    Runners are advised approach the first-aiders or route marshals for assistance. Runners are also strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination and/ or consult their medical practitioner prior to registration and before the actual race day

  5. What if it rain?
    The Organiser reserves the right to delay the commencement of the race in the event of inclement weather eg raining, heavy downpour or lighting. Should the inclement weather persist after the delay, the Organiser reserves the right to cancel the race without any refund of registration fees.

  3. When is the closing date for registration?
    The closing date for registration has extended to 28 Feb 2010 at 2359hrs. No registration will be entertained after this date.

    However, the Organising Committee reserves the right to close the registration earlier, should participation rates reach our capacity before the closing date. Therefore, please register early to avoid any disappointment!

  4. How do I know if my registration has been accepted?

    For Online Registration:

    You will receive a confirmation slip upon successful registration. The system will automatically allocate a unique ID as shown in the confirmation slip.

    For Walk - In Registration:

    Your serialised registration form will only be treated as valid with official receipt. Please bring to the Race Expo for Entry Pack collection.

    There is also the Online Entry Confirmation function that you can use to check if you have registered successfully. All you need to do is to key in your NRIC/Passport number after you have been successfully registered.

    For participants below 18 years of age

    You will need to print the Indemnity Form which can be found in the website or you may get a copy from Running Labs outlets.

  5. Do I get a refund if I choose not to participate after registration?
    No.

  6. Can I make changes to my personal particulars after submitting my registration?
    Yes. You will need to send an email to info@northeastrun.com. No amendments can be made after 28th Feb 2010, 2359 hrs.  

    Participants will not be able to change their

    • Date of Birth,
    • NRIC,
    • Gender

  7. How secured is the online payment?
    AsiaPay uses the latest secure technology and fraud detection functionalities to provide a safe payment gateway. 

  8. Why I did not receive my confirmation slip despite successful registration or payment?

    There could be several reasons:
  • Your registration was not successful and therefore the run confirmation slip was not rendered.
  • There could have been a wrong email entry at the point of registration. Hence, the confirmation slip is not being sent to the correct email account.
  • The email has been blocked by your mail server and or treated as spam.
  • For participant below 18 years of age, he/she has yet to submit his/her indemnity form.

    Participants under 18 years of age please fax the indemnity form to +65 6512 1980 or email to fax@northeastrun.com. Upon submission, the participant will receive his/her confirmation slip via email. This process may take at least 5 working days.

    If you have tried the above but still fail to receive your confirmation slip, you may email to us at info@northeastrun.com by providing the following information:

  • Contactable Mobile Number

    We will reply to you within 3 to 5 working days.
